Dr. Binay Kumar

MBBS, MRCP(UK), MRCGP(UK), FRACGP

Dr. Binay Kumar is the practice principal & aims to offer quality family doctor services to the community.

Dr. Binay Kumar Binay qualified as a doctor in 1999. He had been working as a GP partner in UK. He was also a GP trainer and an appraiser. Binay married in 2012 and his wife, Ridhima who had been living in Melbourne for a long time managed to get him to move back with her. They have a new addition to their family ‘a baby boy’ named Eashen .

Binay is trained to perform minor surgical procedures inc skin cancer surgery and joint injections.

Apart from general practice his professional interests include teaching, musculo-skeletal medicine and medical aesthetics. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK and Australia).

Binay has had intensive training in the use of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers and had been running a private aesthetic practice.

He likes to go trekking when at all possible and enjoys nice holidays.

Binay consults at the clinic on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday , Thursday & alternate Saturdays

 

 

Dr. Punnaiah Ghanta

MBBS

Dr. Punnaiah Ghanta Dr. Punnaiah Ghanta has worked as a medical practitioner in India prior to his move to Australia in 2014.

He believes in wholesome approach to health care where a general practitioner serves the role of a conventional family doctor. His areas of interest include chronic disease management, mental health and men’s health.

Punnaiah consults at the clinic on Tuesday , Wed, Thursday , Friday, Saturdays & Sunday.

 

 

Dr. Avinash Tiwari

MBBS,MRCGP, FRACGP

Dr. Bill Xie Dr Avinash has recently joined the practice having made the move from England this year. He is a Fellow of RACGP and has interest in all aspects of general practice. He is currently available for appointments on most days

 

Dita Bouma

Practice Nurse


Dita is a Division 1 general nurse who has undergone extensive training in General Practice nursing after working in Hospital settings. She is an Accredited PAP Screen Provider & Nurse Immuniser. Prior to working in general practice she has worked in the public hospital system for many years & has also been a midwife.

She is passionate about educating patients and helping them manage chronic problems to gain best possible outcomes. She helps the doctors in all aspects of patient care including chronic disease management, pathology, spirometry, ECG, women’s health issues, immunization, wound management etc.

She is married to Sid and spends her free time at home with her family and looking after 3 beautiful grandchildren. Dita looks forward to meeting you and assisting you in your health care needs.

Dita is available Tuesday , Thursday and Friday.

 

 

Practice Team

A great deal of work goes on behind the scenes to provide an efficient working environment, and healthy outcomes for our patients. The clinical Team is supported by Jenny Van Tilburg (Practice Manager) & Denae Van Tilburg.

Jenny has for the past decade worked in General Practice in the administration/reception area. She is extremely experienced with the day to day dealings that come with working in a busy Medical Clinic. Her care and compassion to the patients, general public and clinical community is professional and second to none. She is a mother to five children (four boys & one girl). Having lived for ten years in Mt Evelyn she, her husband Walter, and children moved to Wandin ten and a half years ago. Her interests include gardening, reading, needlework, arts & crafts and all sports with AFL (Hawthorn), Cricket and cycling (especially the Tour de France), being amongst her favourites. Going out for tea with friends’ rate a close second. Her favourite restaurants are Thai and Indian, give her a good curry anytime!!!

Denae joined Jenny to assist with helping in the reception area of Mount Evelyn Medical Clinic, having worked till recently in retail. She brings valuable experience to the Clinic with her friendly disposition and nature. Her interests, like her mothers’ are AFL (naturally Hawthorn) and most sports. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and won’t knock back a chance for a chat and cuppa at the local cafe.

Social Worker & Mental Health Worker
Joann Melville – Mcgrath : Joann is an accredited Social Worker & Mental Health Worker. She has a vast experience in social & mental health and provides psychology services to our patients. She is currently available on Thursday , Friday & some Saturdays.

Physiotherapist
Gabrielle Seneque : Gabrielle obtained a ‘Bachelor of Physiotherapy’ from Monash University. She has had four years’ experience in working with football and soccer club across Melbourne and Tasmania. Previous experiences also include working in community paediatrics, rural outpatient settings, acute orthopaedics and rehabilitation. During her study she received awards for the “Best Overall performance” in two of her rotations and excellence in paediatrics.
Gabrielle’s favourite things to treat include: improving thoracic rotation for posing, improving gluteal activation for hip and pelvis stability during squats, rotator cuff and bursitis injuries, headaches, low back pain management, knee instability and Olympic weightlift technique training. If you have an injury, require health management, want to strengthen, condition or increase your fitness levels come and see Gabrielle.

Chiropractor
Michael Bloom : After graduating from RMIT in 1995 with an Award for Excellence in Chiropractic Science, Michael spent quiet a number of years in UK, working in many different practices gaining invaluable experience in a variety of adjustment techniques. He also works a lot with local footie club members.
He is passionate about assisting as many people as possible to achieve their optimum health and wellness. In 2012 he  become a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner (CCWP).
His focus is on health promotion and corrective spinal care to not only address any symptomatic concerns, but to help individuals experience a healthier and, therefore, happier life.
